11 new features of iOS 11 that Apple did not mention in Keynote

Yesterday's keynote was one of the most complete in recent years, a keynote in which Apple presented the main novelties of iOS 11, watchOS 4, tvOS 11 and macOS High Sierra, along with the renewal of the MacBook Pro and iMac range, in addition to presenting the iMac Pro and HomePod. But in addition, it also renewed the MacBook Air and the 12,9-inch iPad Pro, giving it the same features as its little brother, the 10,5-inch iPadPro, which was released at this event.

Of course, Apple did not stop point by point to announce all the news of each operating system, but thanks to the developers who already enjoy it, in this article we are going to show you 11 new features that were not mentioned in the presentation of iOS 11.

What's new in iOS 11

One-handed keyboard

The new Apple keyboard allows us to orient the keyboard towards one of the parts of the screen so that we can write smoothly with one hand. This feature is especially ideal for users of the iPhone Plus model.

Screen recording

Just over a year ago, Apple withdrew the only application that allowed record iPhone screen without using a computer. Now we understand the reason, and it was none other than to be able to implement this option natively directly from the Control Center, an option that we must previously configure to appear, since by default it is not visible.

NFC reader

Finally Apple seems to want open the NFC chip to third-party developers, bypassing the limitation that it offered since its first implementation and allowing you to use it as you can for several years on Android.

Redesigned Podcast App

The application to listen to our favorite podcasts has undergone a major overhaul showing us a very similar user interface which we can currently find on Apple Music.

Avoid fraud via SMS

Security has always been a very important part for Apple and to make sure that iPhone users do not suffer from any such problem, iOS 11 adds a new extension to prevent it. will work in the shade.

3D Touch in Safari

3D Touch technology allows us navigate in an easier way through our favorites stored in Safari.

QR code support

Better late than never. iOS 11 finally adds native support for QR codesThose that everyone says nobody uses but are present everywhere.

Search in the News app

If you do not want to browse through all the news that News shows us, we can use the search engine integrated in the application.

Chats for companies

Apple wants businesses to start using its messaging services to communicate with customers, ahead of WhatsApp and other platforms that have been announcing this integration for some time.

Zoom in Maps with one hand

The Maps application receives a new function that will allow us to do use of the application with one hand.

Write to Siri

Tired of Siri not understanding you? With iOS 11 you can write directly to Siri What do you want me to do or look for? This feature is ideal for those who have trouble speaking or those whom Siri never quite understands every time they speak.

These are just some of the news that Apple did not mention in the keynote, but surely they are not the last and in the next keynote, in which the iPhone 8 will be presented, Apple will show us some other news that has been left to purpose in the inkwell, because they will probably only be available on the future Apple iPhone.

No wonder they haven't been announced. They featured a lot of things, and in my opinion this has been the fastest Keynote for years. I'm not saying this because of time, which for me has been excessive, but because of the speed that some had when speaking. It seems that they realized that they would not have time to present everything and for this they cut back on functions like these.

    Greetings 😉
