Testing the water resistance of the Samsung Galaxy S8 vs iPhone 7 Plus

It seems like the water resistance of the devices is something that concerns brands, and the thing is that in the end we have all gone through some fear when our device has been about to get wet, and today there is enough technology to make them watertight ... And what better than all those tests that circulate on the network to see how the devices when fully submerged in water.

After the jump we show you a new test in which the water resistance that Samsung is selling so much with its Samsung Galaxy S8, and Apple with its iPhone 7 Plus. Which of the two devices is more resistant to water?, each one has a different resistance rating so let's watch the video to find out ...

Before leaving you with the video, we will put you in a situation a bit. The first thing you will see is how they both submerge in a bowl of water, a container full of water, all taking into account that the iPhone 7 Plus has an IP67 certificate which certifies its resistance to water in up to 3 meters for 30 minutes, Samsung Galaxy S8 with an IP68 certification I would be prepared to resist until 5 meters deep for 30 minutes. Both resist without any problem but it is true that the response that the Samsung Galaxy S8 has after the test is somewhat better.

The real test comes when they do the test of immersing both devices in a cylinder with approximately 1 meter of water on them, this is where we see that the iPhone 7 Plus gets more water, inside the device, although it continues to work without many problems after the test, yes, the Samsung Galaxy S8 is still something more functional than iPhone 7 Plus. So you know, the war is still on, for sure Apple continues to evolve the watertightness of future devices. Remember how the Apple Watch Series 2 is capable of expelling the water that enters it when submerged by itself, so get ready for what we can get to see on the next iPhone ...

You have neither taken a good look nor seen the full video, huh? Come on, go to minute 9:23 and make sure that the shirt bears the logos of the two companies. Other than that, the iPhone 7 is not made to be submerged and the result is as expected. If you think that the video is partial, which for me it is not, you have it easy: submerge your iPhone and check it yourself. If you dare, of course.
