A few hours ago the team of Chinese developers that make up 25PP has launched its own Jailbreak tool, as you will remember at the time 25PP already launched the famous Jailbreak assistant known as Pangu, in addition to having its own alternative application store with the same name « 25PP ». The controversy comes now, when it turns out that to develop their tool, the 25PP team has used the code of the 3K tool from the TaiG team. How will this event end? It is clear that the Chinese once again have no problem copying in a State where intellectual property is notable for its absence.
Like the TaiG installer, this installer allows you to choose whether or not to install its alternative "store" of applications, where curiously everything is free (yes, free). SUndoubtedly, this launching its own Jailbreak tool is going to cause more of a scuffle between both teams. In fact the guys at 25PP have created a website dedicated to advertising their tool and providing download links, and as expected it is only for Windows (it is a copy, you could not wait any longer), allowing users to Jailbreak to iOS 8.3 and install your app store with astonishing simplicity.
However, at least for now the tool only allows the Chinese language, so at least it is not going to take away many "clients" from the TaiG team, since the latter have taken the trouble to translate it into English.s. With everything and that, the 25PP application has a more successful design, adding various tools such as the ability to save SHSH. Obviously the guys from TaiG have not taken it too well and have issued a statement:
The 25PP wizard is a modification of our jailbreak tool that has not been authorized by us. We can only regret such acts, and we repeat that we have never authorized 25PP to copy our Jailbreak tool, in fact there was never any cooperation between us in any area. In the meantime, we advise users not to use any other tool than the one provided by TaiG for security reasons.
It seems that this is going to bring a tail, and it is curious to see two Chinese companies confront each other over the intellectual property of a product, when they are the kings of this type of activity outside of any international law regulations in this regard. The good thing is that this benefits users, who find several proposals when carrying out the Jailbreak to use the one that suits them best.. Competition is almost always good.
