Since Apple presented yesterday afternoon (Spanish time) the new version for iDevices, iOS 8, everyone wants to have this new version installed to fiddle with the changes made by Apple. It is a natural instinct, it must be recognized, and we cannot avoid it.
So much novelty, some of them long-awaited puts the bug in the body, coercing us to install it. However, being a beta, and less being the first version, I never recommend installing it. Below I explain 7 reasons why you should get this idea out of your head.
- Application compatibility issues. The first users who are trying iOS 8 are reporting about the different problems they are having with third applications, especially with WhatsApp. These problems are not the fault of the developers, but rather that the application has not been created to be compatible with the new iOS. Until Apple officially releases iOS 8 Golden Master, developers will take it easy on updating their apps.
- Contains errors. Apart from the problems that you may suffer with third-party applications, the system itself, let's say it is not completely finished, since it still has to polish errors that we will find during its operation. The normal thing in this type of betas is that the device restarts while you are browsing or writing an email, talking on the phone or playing games. These reboots are very annoying. As Apple says, it is a version for developers not for end users.
- IOS 8 backup is invalid for iOS 7. Despite being a very simple procedure, going from iOS 8 to iOS 7.1.1, your device may suffer some kind of compatibility problems. You will not be able to load the iOS 8 backup on the old iOS 7.1.1. You can only restore to a version of iOS 7 that you have stored on your computer, which is perfectly compatible. That is, everything you do with your device from the moment you install iOS 8 until you remove it will be lost.
- Not compatible with Jailbreak. The evasi0n team will not release a jailbreak for iOS 8 until the final version is finally released for the general public. If you have a version prior to iOS 7.1 and you still have Jailbreak, you should know that if you install iOS 8, you will only be able to download until the version of iOS 7.1.1 that does not have Jailbreak. The Jailbreak for iOS 7 appeared three months after the official version of iOS, it is not a quick process.
- You have no help. If you have problems with your device, you will not get help of any kind, neither from Apple nor from the developers. They always recommend that we wait for the latest version and Apple will tell you that in the next beta, the problems you suffer on your device will be solved. Developers do not install the first betas on their main devices, but use secondary ones to test the operation of the updates they carry out in their apps.
- It is not fully optimized. The launch of the beta versions serves for Apple to collect information on the errors, performance and operation of the different iDevices. Each new beta, usually solves the problems that it has detected in the different iDevices where it has been installed.
- Expectations. Some of the new features like the notification center with widgets, and third-party keyboards, will not be available to the public until the developers incorporate them into their own applications, including the support for widgets, which will surely be for the iOS 8 version. Golden Master.
Nobody likes it that our device does not work properly, has glitches and becomes lazy. If you are a developer you have experienced these problems before, but if you are an end user and are used to downloading final versions, better get the idea out of your head.
But calm down things will get better as Apple releases new versions beta in the coming weeks. I hope this article has helped you clarify your doubts about installing iOS 8 or waiting for the final version.

Siri may be available for the Ipad 2. in this new version iOS 8
If with iOS 7 it was no longer available, I seriously doubt that with iOS 8 they will implement it.
