According to the Hollywood Reporter, Amazon's podcast studio Wondery will offer its subscription service through Apple Podcast. This agreement is striking, since last November, various rumors suggested that Apple was negotiating with the company the sale for a figure of 300 and 400 million dollars, however, it finally went to Amazon, for an amount that it was not made public.
The Wondery + subscription is priced at $ 4,99 per month or $ 34,99 per year. This will be the same price you will have on Apple Podcast subscriptions. If we take into account that Amazon already reached an agreement years ago with Amazon to reduce the part that Apple remains, it is most likely that with Wondery the same thing will happen and Apple will not keep 30% of each subscription. Being a completely new platform with little content, Apple has to compromise if it wants to offer exclusive and quality content from the beginning.
