Amazon workers steal half a million euros phones

The launch of a new iPhone It is always a good time to get a unit on a website with plenty of guarantees like Amazon. Some of your employees seem to know that well. There are black sheep even in the best families, and this time it has happened to the company of Jeff Bezos.

Five Amazon workers in Madrid have been arrested for stealing 500.000 euros in devices, including a large number of iPhones. Apparently the employees wanted to get a "bonus" this year that amounts to about 100.000 euros per head that they would later place on the most popular websites and buying and selling applications.

The authors established a robbery system that has even surprised the Police, which has not yet shared too many details beyond that the employees they tore off the tags with the IMEI code of the phones to make it difficult to track them.

The same goes for Amazon, who has not wanted to share any information about it. However, it has emerged that Amazon even placed additional hidden security cameras at workstations to detect thefts when they found that the packages had irregular weights and records.

So far, as we have said before, only five suspects have been arrested, although it is not ruled out that they had a series of collaborators outside the company. As expected, the North American company has proceeded to its dismissals and surely some user who acquired an iPhone 12 or iPhone 12 Pro has been affected by the "disappearance" of their order.

Meanwhile the company continues to grow in times of COVID despite the strong judicial pressure it is receiving in Spain due to the peculiar situation in which its distributors find themselves, creating legal discussions that are currently on the rise.
