Apple clarifies why some users can't turn on app tracking blocking

A few days ago Apple released the final version of iOS 14.5, a new version of the operating system that now allows us (finally) to unlock our iPhone with FaceID when we use a mask. This is possible as long as we wear our Apple Watch since the iPhone will understand that it is with us. But undoubtedly the main novelty of iOS 14.5 was Apple's new privacy policy, a new policy that prevents developers from tracking how we use their apps (as long as we are not the ones who accept it). Now Apple has come to clarify why some users cannot permanently activate this lock. Keep reading that we give you all the details of this change of iOS 14.5 ...

After updating to iOS 14.5 we can now manage the tracking permissions per application, when an application is going to do it we will receive a notification, but we can also choose which ones and which ones not through Settings> Privacy> Tracking. And it is precisely in the tracking menu where we will see an additional option: "Allow apps to request to track you". A very interesting new option especially if what we want is that they do not bother us and that, obviously, they stop being interested in our data and use of the applications. A option that is not modifiable for some users and Apple wanted to explain why, these are the three main reasons why you may not be able to modify this feature of iOS 14.5:

  • For users with accounts for children or those under 18 years of age , logged into iCloud with your Apple ID
  • Si tu Apple ID is managed by an educational institution or use a configuration profile that limits tracking
  • Si tu Apple ID was created in the last three days

However there is some users who are not within these three possible are also having problems, and this may also be related to the configuration that we have in blocking «Personalized Ads» in Safari. And you, can you activate this normally? Are you having problems? We read you ...

I am not in any of the three categories. I tried to see the fourth option but I don't see how to check it.

It may not be released for all countries !?

I am not under any of these conditions and yet I cannot activate app tracking on either the iPhone or the ipad, which makes it impossible for me to connect Apps to social networks, such as Facebook.
I already tried to check that it does not have any restrictions, also restoring configurations and networks and nothing. I guess it must be an iOS 14.5 bug

For those who have a problem when activating tracking and are not under any of the options that do not allow us to activate, I leave the following information

    1- close iCloud session
2- Go to the tracking option and activate
3- Log in again with iCloud with this it remains active again

I hope it works for you
