In 2016 there were some cases of users of the then new iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus in which, after applying the «Airplane mode», there were coverage problems and in which the screen indicated that "No service". With a time behind its backs, Apple will finally solve this problem. Begins a repair program of the iPhone 7.
According to Apple in its statement, that have concluded that a small percentage of iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus models could have the coverage problem after applying airplane mode on them. In some cases this small failure was momentary and in others the normalization time was considerably longer.
Unless you do not buy your iPhone 7 or iPhone 7 Plus outside of Spain, you should not worry about this problem. According to those of Cupertino, the affected units were sold between September of the year 2016 and February of this same year 2018. Of course, the affected countries are: China, Macao, United States, Hong Kong and Japan. Therefore, unless you visited any of these countries in the time that we have told you and you buy an Apple terminal, you should not worry.
Also, Apple gives further instructions. And let a series of model numbers which are those that correspond to the affected units. These are as follows:
- A1660 and A1780: Sold in China
- A1660: sold in Hong Kong, Macao and the United States
- A1779: Japan
This numbering can be found on the back of the chassis and under the Apple logo and the specific model. We leave you an image that tells you where to check this numbering. Likewise, Apple will contact customers via email in order to proceed with a refund. In addition, it is advised that if at the end of March 2018 they do not contact an affected person, it is the user who contacts the company in order to proceed with the repair or refund of money.
