Podcasts have become the favorite tool of many users to be informed at all times of what they like the most, since we can not only find technology podcast, but we also have at our disposal podcast of cooking, cinema, television, video games ...
When it comes to enjoying our favorite podcasts, Apple offers us the Podcast application, a native application that as the years go by, receives new functions. However, in the App Store we have at our disposal a wide variety of applications among which we can highlight Overcast, Outcast, Castro ...
The latter has just been updated by adding a new section with selected content. When we talk about selected content, we are not referring to content selected by algorithms, but rather to content curated by people, in which we will find quality and original content. This new section, called Discovery, is updated every week.
Another novelty that we found in the latest Castro update is found in the searches we carry out. After updating the application, when we perform a search, we can see how the results that match what we are looking for are displayed, so that find the content we are looking for much faster.
The last important novelty that we find in version 2019.2 is the way we have to subscribe to a podcast from search results, an ideal function if we know what content we are going to find in that podcast and it does not force us to click on its description to be able to subscribe. This function is intended for all those people who want to change their podcast client, but do not do it out of laziness.
Castro is available for download for free, but in order to get the most out of it, we have to make use of the subscriptions that it offers us.
