Castro presents “Clip sharing” to share your favorite moments from your podcasts

Castro, from Supertop, is the application I like the most to play my podcasts and we have already talked about it on numerous occasions in Actualidad iPhone.

The latest update, 2019.6, brings us a new feature, "Clip Sharing", which will allow us to share a moment of the podcast we are listening to.

"Clip Sharing" makes it very simple to share a moment from your podcasts. It is shared in video format, with the podcast image, name, episode and date, it can be up to 60 seconds long And, being a video, it can be shared from the Castro app to any other app, such as WhatsApp, Instagram, Twitter, Telegram or, really, wherever we want.

To record these little videos, We will see that a red circular button has appeared on the screen with the episode controls. We can open it by sliding up the lower part of the screen, where the multimedia controls are, or by pressing the arrow in the upward direction.

We can hold down the red button while what we want to record is playing or, alternatively, press it and an editor will open that will allow us to select the beginning and end of the video.

We can also select the video style we want to use: Square, vertical or horizontal, depending on where we want to send it. For example, vertical video for stories of Instagram or horizontal to share it by Twitter.

Once finished, we will press the "Share" button that appears at the bottom right and the well-known iOS sharing screen will appear. Like any other video, we can share it directly to an app, we can save it in an app or we can save it in Photos, in Files, etc. and even share it with AirDrop to another device with iOS or macOS.

This "Clip Sharing" option is free for all users. Remember that Castro is a free app, with the option to pay a subscription of € 18,99 per year to unlock some additional functions (but not "Clip Sharing").
