The WhatsApp development team is at full capacity this December. A few days ago we showed you the new interface for voice calls that was being tested in the beta of the application. An interface very much in line with the design changes that WhatsApp has been offering us in recent months. Two new features have been introduced in the latest beta update of the messaging app: the animation of all the emoji of hearts regardless of its color and the new function for react to messages with emojis.
WhatsApp tests reaction to messages as the next big feature
The news reaches the public beta of WhatsApp even on Christmas holidays, as they comment in BetaInfo. The new update incorporates two novelties. First of all, the widespread animation of emoji of hearts of all colors. Until now, only the red heart was animated simulating a constant beat when we sent it to any chat. However, the rest of the hearts of other colors were not animated and remained small and without movement. This new update includes animations to all these color variants.
The other novelty resides in a function known on other platforms: reaction to messages. Through this new function, the users of a group they can react with emojis to a certain message. For now, the number of reactive emojis has been limited to 6. However, it is clear that this feature will have a lot of future and the number of emojis will be expanded if it goes forward. Within the function menu we can see which emojis have been selected and which people in the group have reacted to each one.
These functions as we say are only available on iOS and in the beta version of WhatsApp. It is likely that in the coming months we will see them on our screens. However, there is still a long way to go for Mark Zuckerberg's company to polish all the details and decide to launch the functions publicly, globally and officially.
