One of the doubts that users of the new iPhone 13 and 13 Pro launched by Apple have a few weeks ago is the battery life of these. In many cases, users are satisfied with the autonomy they offer, they use them in their day to day and that's it, but many others want to know how long the battery of the new Apple smartphones is capable of lasting and also want to see which battery lasts longer, that of the iPhone 13 model or that of the 13 Pro model.
A priori, the battery of the iPhone 13 is somewhat higher in mAh than that of the iPhone 13 Pro models, so it should last a bit longer although it is true that both have a 6.1-inch screen and practically the same processor. The main difference on the screen is that the Pro have Super Retina XDR with ProMotion and the normal iPhone 13 have Super Retina XDR. Will this be enough to decant greater autonomy to one side or the other?
El Youtube channel PhoneBuff made the comparison with these two models, the iPhone 13 and the 13-inch 6,1 Pro:
Having the option to modify the refresh rate is everything
PhoneBuff shows the details of the duration of both batteries and it is clear that having the ProMotion screen with automatic regulation option makes the autonomy is superior. Both batteries are good and better than previous models but the management of the iPhone 13 Pro screen is spectacular.
The iPhone 13 Pro surpassed the 13 in autonomy during these tests, not as much as Apple indicates but it was superior. The test carried out by this channel shows a greater autonomy in only 9 more minutes of screen on. So having this ProMotion display could help overcome the 13 lead with a little more battery life but not too much. In total there were 16 hours of standby time for both iPhone models, 9 hours and 42 minutes for the iPhone 13 and 9 hours and 51 minutes of screen time on for the 13 Pro.
