If you are going to buy an iPad Mini Retina, be careful with the sale prices

IPad Mini Retina Deals

I am currently considering buying a new iPad. And the truth is that I fully share the opinion of my colleague Alejandro that the The best choice for value for money among the iPad Mini devices currently on the market is that of the iPad Mini 2, also called iPad Mini Retina. However, in an attempt to see if by chance in life I found an offer that would reduce the price of 289 euros to what is officially sold in the Apple store, or if I found it in one of those packs with covers that sometimes come out at Christmas, I was quite scared to see some of the costs that were offered in different stores.

Precisely because a user who is somewhat novice in the world of online shopping, or who is not very focused on the characteristics that distinguish some tablets from others may end up being wrong, I prepared to tell the experience in this article, with the intention that all those who are looking for an iPad mini Retina, or iPad mini 2 do not get a good scare. In the first of the screenshots that I show you can see an image taken on the Fnac website today in which a seller lists his original iPad Mini product for 304,06 euros. The official price is 229 euros, so we are talking about almost 100 euros above the real value that we can get in any Apple store.

But if these things always happen with private sellers, because each one can value their product as they please as long as there is someone who buys it at a higher price than the official price, it never ceases to amaze me the return they give in El Corte Inglés with their discounts on Apple products. It is striking that on the entire page of offers, only the products of previous generations are discounted and that by chance, they have the old price. That is, to whom they were sold before Apple announces new iPad Air and iPad Mini.

iPad Mini Retina El Corte Inglés

The advertised discounts of up to 30% in the case of iPad Mini with Retina Display 16GB WiFi they are no such thing. Recall that the real price of the iPad Mini 2 is 289 euros, so if it is sold at 269 euros with this El Corte Inglés promotion, it will not be lowered by 30%, but only 20 euros with respect to the real cost. And although I would still win, before writing this article I have been looking at different websites for several days, and precisely at the beginning of the week, in El Corte Inglés they did not have the promotion, and they listed the iPad Mini 2 at the previous price of 389 euros as the normal.

Confusion of nomenclatures

But if the high prices were not enough to try to get the iPad Mini 2 on the internet, I have found another detail. The fact that Apple does not directly mention numbers in the new nomenclatures of its tablets gives rise to quite a few problems. On some websites they list the iPad Mini and iPad Mini 2 with the same name, at different prices. And it may be that some user, without paying too much attention and thinking that he buys the most current of the two devices from previous generations, ends up being surprised when a tablet that still rolls with the A5 processor arrives at home.

So if you are planning to buy a iPad Mini, be very careful with prices, and especially be careful with the models, lest in the end you make a mistake and overpay for a device that has already been on the market for two years, instead of obtaining the one year old.

Cristina, remove the letter "k" from Fnac's name. (It can happen to all of us.)

    A greeting.

The article is good. The tricks of the stores and sellers to take out items as if they were a bargain that they are not.
