Yesterday we told you about our first impressions of the new member of the Sonos family, the Sonos Roam, the new portable speaker from the speaker giant. Of course, not everything is going to be Sonos, we also like to discover what other brands bring us and precisely today's news is related to another company that is dedicated to making speakers. LG has presented the new range of soundbars for 2021 and they arrive with support (somewhat late) of AirPlay 2. Keep reading that we give you all the details.
They have announced it through a press release: all LG soundbars by 2021 will be compatible with Apple's AirPlay 2. These will also support surround sound formats Dolby Atmos and DTS: X, major hi-fi audio standards. Something that we see in other brands and that also reaches these sound bars is the speaker calibration based on room, that is, it will use microphones to adapt the sound to the environment in which we are. To top it off, higher models will be certified for 24-bit / 96kHz lossless Hi-Res Audio playback.
As you know, the AirPlay 2 allows us new functions with respect to its previous version. It must be said that this AirPlay 2 has been with us since 2018 but manufacturers have been slow to adopt Apple's new communications system. What does AirPlay 2 allow us? we rots create a multiroom music system, that is, we can select several AirPlay devices so that the same music is played between all of them, or even different. Have been several speaker brands launched to support AirPlay 2, and as we tell you, AirPlay 2 is already compatible with LG's 2021 range of sound bars. And you, Thinking of getting a sound bar for your multimedia system? Do you use AirPlay to play music?
