Yesterday took place the conference in which Apple announced the financial results of its first fiscal quarter of the year, which turned out to be better than expected in general terms. It is true that if we do the annual computation we can see that fewer iPhones have been sold than last year (215 vs. 231 million units) and that the sales of iPads continue to decline regardless of the model on the market (13M vs. 16 million last year), but that does not stop placing the Californian company in an enviable position. Income from services (Apple Music, App Store, iTunes, ...) continues to grow and has managed to maintain Mac sales.
However, the absolute protagonist of all this is the iPhone. Yesterday something that was already sensed since the launch of the new models in September was confirmed: the iPhone 7 Plus has been the best "Plus" model so far in terms of sales. According to Cook himself, not even they expected the tremendous reception it had from the beginning, which affected the production chains.
Actually, as many pointed out since its presentation, the double camera of this model is a reason in itself to choose the iPhone 7 Plus instead of the 4,7-inch model. Is the first iPhone to offer a significant leap when it comes to taking photos facing the average user, something that customers seem to have valued very positively when opting for this model.
One of the main obstacles that users find when choosing one or the other is still the dimensions, something that is not helped by the frames that surround the iPhone screen, especially notorious in the Plus model. This year Apple is expected to reduce that size on the edges, adding more screen or reducing the overall size of the device. Perhaps then the Plus model will definitively walk towards hegemony.
I have the iphone 7 and 7 plus and the camera is the same, the only thing of the plus is a little more zoom (without better quality) and the portrait mode that to my taste normal photos look better. Then the main lens has exactly the same hardware.
