Many are the rumors that in recent months have surrounded Apple TV, a device that today it makes very little sense to buy since most manufacturers have been adding support for both AirPlay and HomeKit in addition to access to Apple's streaming video service.
If Apple plans to renew this device, will have to offer something else so that users opt for it and not for the native solution that they already find in their televisions. The rumors that point to a more powerful Apple TV and with a new control, it seems that little by little they are being confirmed.
The guys 9to5Mac, citing people familiar with Apple's future plans with the Apple TV, point out that it is developing a new command, codenamed B519. The model that Apple currently makes available to users who rely on Apple TV as a multimedia solution is the B439.
Although these sources have not provided more details, from this medium they suggest that lThe changes will be significant. With the launch of the 4th generation Apple TV, Apple redesigned the command to give Siri more prominence, with which we can access through voice commands, the content available on the streaming video platforms that we have installed on our equipment.
With the launch of the Apple TV 4K, Apple redesigned the remote by adding a white border around the Menu button. More recently, we have seen how in the tvOS 14.5 beta, Apple has renamed the Siri Remote, by Apple TV Remote, which could imply that Siri will have a lesser role in the next generation of Apple TV.
What does seem to be clear is that Apple plans to offer, in what will be the sixth generation of Apple TV, a much more powerful processor as well as a greater amount of storage. Time will tell if Apple wants to turn the Apple TV into a platform to enjoy all the games available on iOS on a larger screen.
