After launching its first iPhone game, Miitomo, a kind of social network to interact with our friends, Nintendo is finishing developing the next games that will arrive on iOS and Android devices this year. Unlike Miitomo, the Japanese company lwill launch new franchises of popular games such as Animal Crossing and Fire Emblem. The company just announced its intentions through a tweet.
Although Animal Crossing, which is not in the same league as Super Mario, would be the first release of a relatively successful game on the Nintendo platform that will eventually reach mobile devices. This new version of Animal Crossing will never be available on any of the consoles that the company currently manufactures or on future projects it is working on, such as the Nintendo NX.
We know little else about these new games, as the details are really scarce and Nintendo is not about to collaborate by revealing its future intentions at least until the release date approaches. Although Miitomo has been cataloged by many users as a nonsensical game, many are the users who have praised it but who anxiously await the arrival of lifelong titles, something that does not go through the head of the Japanese company. Nintendo plans to release five more games until March next year.
Some users are concerned about the upcoming Nintendo release as most likely add in-app purchases spoiling the gaming experience from previous versions. A few days ago Nintendo announced that its profits had fallen by 60% compared to the previous year, due to the drop in sales of its devices, a situation that it wants to reverse by launching the Nintendo NX this year, in which it has been working for a couple of years.
