Orange Spain already allows tethering

Our readers tell us that yesterday afternoon they began to receive a Orange Spain operator Settings updateWhen looking in Settings they had the option of «Internet Sharing» active.

Our friend Revellion even called Orange to confirm the news and from the customer service they informed him that indeed Orange customers already had the option to share their data rate completely free of charge.

Great news for all Orange users.

and you, have you received this update of the operator settings?

Yesterday afternoon I received the update on my mobile, but I don't see the option on my mobile, I don't know if I have to connect it to iTunes or something but I can't see it anywhere.

    Greetings.

If I had TetherMe installed, should I uninstall it?

A greeting and thanks in advance!!!

All those who have installed a tethering program such as PDANet, Tetherme, MyWi or similar must uninstall it because otherwise the option to share internet does not appear.

Well, I have updated and it does not appear on my iphone 4 ... it must be that having the cheapest data rate (€ 12) should not have that option. Anyone else like me?

  12.   Alejandro said

Well, yes, it was updated and if I already have it, too, by fiiiin hehe

Well, I have updated the settings, and the option appears, but it happens to me like @clanc, it keeps loading the tab and does nothing.

I confirm the news. Yesterday after updating iOS 4.1, iTunes offered me to update settings.
The first 3 times I canceled it, as a precaution, but then I accepted them and right now I have verified that this option is in the network settings.
I don't care, because I don't think I use it, but there are people who will take advantage of it.

Does anyone know if they charge to use it? It says that the service can be paid….

Now you only need the Visual Voicemail to have the iPhone 4 as God intended ...

But how is this updated? It is because I have my iPhone 4 connected to iTunes and it tells me absolutely nothing to update anything (except of course this version of the firm that at the moment I will not do, since until 4.2 I will continue with 4.0.1). I also turn on the Wifi and it doesn't tell me anything ...

    What I have to do?

You have to go to »check for updates» on the iphone in Itunes.
    All the best

  21.   Alfonso said

Yes sir thank you very much I already have it on.

With the 4.0.1 I get the update when entering Settings-Information. I update it and now I have version 8.2. I have restarted the mobile and such and nothing at all ... Do I reset Network settings?

Jorge, it does drop just after passing your contracted rate. After 500Mb I get a text message and the speed drops considerably, up to 128Kb. In Movistar it is true that it never happened to me even reaching 1Gb. On the speed, in general well, it is the slowest of the big 3 but it is more than enough for navigation on a phone.

I can't tell you about Skype.

    regards
