Siri, how much is zero out of zero? Attentive to the surprising answer

Since the existence of Siri, the vocal assistant has been losing shyness and little by little he dares to give increasingly curious answers.

In recent days, the Internet is talking a lot about Siri and not about its improvements for iOS 9. It turns out that if we ask the assistant how much is zero between zero, the answer begins with a more or less logical explanation but ends up being a full-blown waver. Here is what Siri will answer if you ask the question in question:

Imagine that you have zero cookies and you distribute them to zero friends. How many cookies does each friend get? It doesn't make sense, you see? So the cookie monster is sad because he has no cookies and you are sad because you have no friends.

Personally, I love the response and even more so today that we have the weekend around the corner. I do not know if he will have more of the style but it is good that sometimes the formalities are lost and they make us smile with this type of humor. We all have that troll side and it seems like Siri brings it out from time to time too.

Siri Proactive, the new face of the assistant for iOS 9

But we can't just use Siri to get clever answers. With iOS 9, the assistant will make a significant qualitative leap and in addition to offering new ways of interacting with the system, it will also try to anticipate our actions to get more out of the iPhone.

In the above graph you can see the differences between Siri Proactive and Google Now On Tap. You already know that the comparisons are hateful and to tell the truth, both options are very close in terms of functions.

Hopefully Siri continues to evolve as it has done since its launch and is that, at least in Spain, its operation has always been a notch below the United States.

But did not you say in a previous news that the jump between the Siri of iOS 8 and 9 was quite insignificant? hahaha

    1.    Nacho said

That depends on the point of view. Is the jump between iOS 8 and iOS 9 insignificant? It depends. There will be people who think that it is milk and others will think that it is an iOS 8.5.

      regards

Does your own phone treat you like a fool? I think they should make improvements like Cortana does and stop pre-programmed crap with bad milk. At least I had different answers.

Yes, I have Siri, forever, And also Cortana, and you? did you try Cortana?

It's true what Siri says! There are no friends

  5.   Paul Aparicio said

Wow, those responses aren't pre-programmed. Why don't you tell him to sing the one with the yellow tractor to see if he knows? They are also pre-programmed.

Recognize one thing: they have recorded those kinds of responses so that people like you think that it really is the most. Now ask him to create calendar events for you, to change your appointments and everything else, like lowering the brightness or Juan is my cousin. An assistant is not just that. In 1995 I had a program similar to a chat with which I spoke, but could not set an alarm. Careful with that.

I don't know whether to laugh more at Siri's response or at the "joke" of our "friend" ISEMSE and his "very intelligent" Cortana hahaha

We would have to see more of Cortana. But from the beginning, and sticking only to the video posted, I who am an Applefan, I liked Cortana more and her responses (things as they are).

What happens is that apart from that nonsense to stay with friends and acquaintances, the important thing in the day to day is its real operation and what it has been created for, which is to be a daily assistant to set alarms, change appointments, etc.

    1.    Paul Aparicio said

Exactly. I do not doubt that Cortana can be the best of the assistants, but the fact that she sings to us does not show it. It is to look for emails, it is to be able to change an appointment to another day, it is to tell him that Pepito is your brother and that he put it on your agenda ... Instead of using that type of response to say that it is very well. example can you make predictions of matches and movie events?

If I may comment, I think the best assistant should combine the knowledge of Cortana and Google Now, the search and look-ahead capabilities of Google Now and the personality and even "human or close touch" of Siri, unfortunately no company goes To change the competition for our pocket by joining forces for technology, we will have to continue waiting for the attendees to advance little by little.

On the other hand, comment that Siri does have programmed responses, yes, before choosing one what it does is contextually analyze your request, later (and this is its strong point) it is able to understand where you want to go or what response you expect, nowadays no assistant is capable of reasoning their own answers 😀

I agree that the assistants have programmed what they are going to answer, it is clear. But I like the human aspect that Cortana has when answering. If you tell him to sing you another one, he does. Although I'm sure his repertoire is limited. But it does. Also that I know, Siri is not a beta like Cortana, and is up to par. I have always been pro Apple (even if it does not pay me a salary) but you have to keep your feet on the ground and recognize when you are falling behind in a field that it controlled perfectly. I repeat, Cortana is not even Beta, (that I know of) and yes, she creates notes and so on ... She also has a much more human voice etc etc.
I am convinced that the voice assistant is the future and you have to wake up ...

    1.    Paul Aparicio said

That Apple could do more in that regard is true. But we do not have to let ourselves, I am not saying deceive, but do not fully believe that it is a beta. As an example, the Jdownloader 2 is in beta, I think it's been 3 years now, so there is little left of beta. I am sure that Microsoft has been preparing cortana, at least, since 2011. Siri still has not 2 years since it left the beta and that it was bought from others, who did not start from 0.

To me that thing about him singing to me, because I put it on my nephew who is 8 years old and he finds it funny when the cockroach sings to him. Or when you ask what is the fox doing? and it tells you all the sounds of the song "The Fox." But that is of no use. I have the real games to play. What both Siri, Google Now and Cortana have to do is make you do what you ask, but do what you need to do on the phone. The day anyone comes across a function they don't do, you don't care about the sound of the fox or that they have recorded the melody of a song.

By the way, Pablo. I am surprised by your answers. Did you try other non-Apple phones? Because it is just as important to test the latest iPhone as the latest Samsumg (for example). I do. And it's amazing how the competition evolves.

    1.    Paul Aparicio said

I taste everything that falls into my hands and sometimes I ask for it for some time. The newest things I don't usually try the moment they come out. What I do know and that cannot be argued is that there are aspects in which the iPhone is inferior. For example, although the iPhone 6 takes some very good photos, it is time to upload the megapixels. Although in many countries it does not affect, there are also phones that have an LTE twice as fast (300mbps). But it is that I feel good with the system and ecosystem.

The next thing I want to do is hit my brother with a nexus and try ubuntu phone hahaha

Siri is fine but it should still be more integrated into the system, for example it would be great to do things within the applications. For example in Safari one can go back down or up the page, open links, write in text boxes, Siri select this, copy that, etc. The fact that Siri covers the entire screen when a query is made is a bit annoying, it should be executed minimized in one of the corners of the iPhone and in a transparent way as well as the assistive touch

On the other hand I understand that you are pro Apple, Apple has done for telephony what no one has done. When Siri came out it was the best, but it gave me the feeling that it did not evolve much. And the competition is taking advantage of it.
On the other hand, sorry Pablo, I'm sure you'll be up to date on other devices. What drives me crazy are the hyenas who don't know.
