Every time we use the Netflix application for the trailer of a series or movie, we are forced to turn the mobile if we want to see it in the right direction, something that can sometimes be a nuisance especially if not we just found something to see.
To try to make this arduous task as easy for users as possible, the guys at Netflix will add a kind of Stories in the next update, small 30 second trailers that we can enjoy vertically, without having to turn the phone at any time, a fantastic idea for the most undecided.
The Stories will be available on the main screen in the form of circles, and we will be able to scroll through them, sliding our finger on the screen while they are being played, being a more than comfortable way to quickly see the news, the recommendations ... Once it begins the reproduction of the Stories, we will find three options at the bottom of the screen, options that allow us to add the title to a list, play the content directly or obtain more information about that series or movie.
Despite that only 10% of the content consumed from Netflix is done through smartphones, the company wants to make it easier for those who use it mainly to see the content available on the platform, even if they later watch it on their home television. For now, this update will hit the market from April and first only for iOS users. Android users are going to have to wait a little longer to enjoy Netflix Stories on their mobile devices.
