Spotify, all your music stored in the cloud ... or not

Spotify has been around for a long time, and pretty much everyone I know he is very happy with the service whether they are free, unlimited or premium. But the iPhone app, which a priori seems good, has a large number of one-star ratings and a fair average of three stars, despite the fact that they warn that you need to be Premium to use it. Why?

Only for Premium

I have to say, at the risk that there will be people who do not like it, that I do not agree with absolutely any one star rating. If we read them we can see that 99% are because the app is for Premium users ... and I say: What did you expect? Spotify is a company that has to make money - in fact today it loses it - and therefore has to monetize its business. It is something that is very clear as soon as you sign up for Spotify (that the app is only for Premium) but it seems that for many it is never free enough.

As a Premium user of Spotify I have to say that the service is practically unbeatable, although this has been for a few months, since the option to select the maximum quality (320 kbps) for streaming, which for many was a major blight that luckily was solved over time. The fee is fully justified with the service provided by the application.

Let's talk about the app

The first thing we find when starting it is a simple design with a palette of muted colors that will not bother us at any time and that is accentuated even more when we enter the player when selecting a song. In general, the application does not clash at any time and visually it is always at a high level, so all of us who are quite fussy about these things can be calm.

With the app we can do practically the same than on a computer, and this includes saving songs, something that for me is totally essential on the mobile if we take into account that we can melt the data rate as we go down the street, in addition to avoiding annoying cuts in playback if the coverage is not good and we have selected the highest quality.

Obviously I don't want to incite anyone to pay the Premium if it is not going to amortize it, but sometimes we lose the sense of the value of things. There are people who do not shake their hand to pay 20 euros to have dinner out on a Friday, but if they then have to pay 10 euros for a whole month of Spotify Premium, they ask you if you are crazy. Well no, I'm not crazy, I just don't mind paying for what I consider to be an excellent service even though there is a free version. Of course, there will be those who do not pay it well because they have all the music they need in iTunes, but for those who use Spotify on a daily basis it is clear that it is a magnificent investment.

Well, I was paying a premium for 5 months and the truth is that yes, it's cool to have the music quickly and at hand. But many times the app crashed, the connection went out. And I'm not talking about listening through 3G, which would understand, but offline lists which also stopped and soon came to.

I used it on the iPhone, iPad and laptop

Well, you're right, people who complain because they have to pay € 10 a month often spend € 50 on drinks one weekend, and that is normal!

Anyone who complains about the price of the premium service is because he does not appreciate the music in the least and enters that roulette of "everything should be free or storing nonsense." Anyway. For music lovers, I don't think we hesitate for a minute to make that investment. In the end, everyone is free to invest in whatever they want.

I am also premium and I think it is a fantastic service and it doesn't hurt to pay what I pay for it.

In the country of the lollipop, where we let ourselves be robbed by our leaders and then our hands do not shake for spending € 50 going out on a Friday night, what we later want is that I can have it for free, why pay.

    In short, underestimating culture.

I love Spotify by the way. I've been using the premium account for a long time, and I couldn't be more satisfied. I bet on them

    A greeting.

I have been a Premium user for 18 months, I have been listening to music since I have use of conscience, what I love is that they have an extensive catalog of music and not only have commercial music that I certainly hate. I have to say that I have a very good and varied taste in music XD, but what we were going to is that the application has been improving and improving. Now on my iPhone 5, I am completely satisfied with the App as it works like a charm. And the truth is € 10 is as if it were free for me. I would pay double
