The Taiwanese firm HTC is one of the few firms that manufactures smartphones that has not yet launched a smartwatch to this day. We have been talking about this supposed HTC smartwatch for practically the whole year, but so far no specification had been leaked, much less an image that would offer us a clue as to what the device will be like. Again from the Chinese social network Weibo the first images have been leaked of what could be the first smartwatch of the Taiwanese company, a device that would offer us a circular screen with a resolution of 360 x 360.

This device, which is still in development, would have a heart rate sensor, rubber strap, step and calorie counter ... in addition to a large number of applications for exercise lovers, although we do not know if all the software would be designed by the company or would be based on Google Fit. The name of this device at the moment is Halfbeak, a name that will most likely change before reaching the market. The launch of this device could be the turning point for the company to return to the path of profits, a path that it abandoned a few years ago and that despite the excellent terminal that it launched at the beginning of the year, HTC M10, to which sales they are still unaccompanied.

Currently the market for smartwatches is full of terminals, but if we enter the sector of quantifiers, few are the terminals that offer us the same benefits as a smartwatch in a quantifying bracelet. Apparently HTC wants to direct its first smartwatch to this market, to offer the same options and functions of quantification bracelets but also the maximum possible terminal information. As we can see in the image, the device has all the earmarks of making use of Android Wear, a version of the operating system for smartwatches that will not arrive in its second version until the beginning of next year.
