This is Pebble Time: color screen and autonomy of one week

Pebble Time

Although its launch was leaked ahead of time, Pebble Time it's official now. The company that has distributed around a million units of its smartwatch, is now trying a new concept that maintains the original essence but improved to adapt to new needs.

Pebble Time is a completely redesigned model, both externally and for its hardware. What perhaps most catches our attention is its new color e-paper display that promises to continue with reduced consumption, making the Pebble Time's battery last between five and seven days of use, exactly the same as that of the Pebble and Pebble Steel.

The frame that borders the e-paper screen of the Pebble Time is stainless steel and the front that protects the display is Gorilla Glass. The watch is 20% thinner than the original model and the straps now feature a new quick-release clasp that allows us to easily interchange them.

The watch also features a new version of Pebble OS operating system You will be able to organize the information displayed on the screen such as the weather, news, flights and reminders without interfering with the display of notifications.

Of course, all applications currently available for current Pebbles, can be installed in Pebble Time.

What do you have to do to get a Pebble Time? The company returns to its origins and has published a campaign on Kickstarter which will offer us the opportunity to get one of the first units for 159 dollars, being able to choose between three different colors. The first shipments will be made in May of this year.

If you want to wait and buy the Pebble Time later, the watch will cost 199 dollars once your capital raising campaign ends.

Excellent slap to the Apple Watch. Much better than what Apple's Warch will offer, without a doubt.
