WhatsApp has begun to add one of the most anticipated features by many and that will improve respect for the privacy of its users by adding the ability to configure who can add you to a group and who can't. Little by little, this functionality is reaching the most used messaging application in Spain and many other countries throughout the world, and it is expected that soon all users will be able to use it.
Are you sick of being included in groups that you can't get out of later because you're afraid of looking bad? Well, then this new functionality interests you a lot. We explain how it works and how you can configure it below.
As I said before, this new functionality is reaching users little by little, so if it still doesn't appear on your WhatsApp, don't worry because it will soon. You just have to make sure you have the latest version available installed on your device. It is available for both Android and iOS users, and is accessed from the Settings menu of the application, within the "Account>Privacy" section., where we will find the options to configure who can see our status or our profile photo. Just below the new "Groups" option appears where we can configure this new privacy option:
- All: It will remain as before, any user will be able to add you to any group they create, without restrictions.
- Contacts: Only those users who are in your contact list will be able to add you to groups. Other users will be able to send you an invitation to the group via private message, which you can accept or not.
- my contacts except: If some of your contacts are a bit heavy and you don't want them to be able to add you to groups, this is the perfect option, since you can specify who will not be able to add you to groups. The rest of the contacts that you do not mark will be able to do so without problems.
The Nobody is missing. Blocking the entire agenda is going to take me a lot of work
WhatsApp is always one step behind Telegram, which is a thousand times better and has more functions. Nothing is new in WPP whenever Telegram comes out with something new. choose who sees my profile photo and last connection time person by person and not have to take all none or just the list of contacts
I totally agree. In my country (Argentina) much less people use it than you do in Spain, a pity. Not to mention the possibility of using dark mode.
