Apple Podcasts is a cross platform service that allows the user play and discover podcasts across the web. With up to 200 subcategories, there are thousands of titles available on different major themes. In addition, offering a useful, eye-pleasing and functional service is complicated. However, Apple has tried to improve its native app with new features that appear in iOS 15 and iPadOS 15:

• Shared with you: Now our friends can send us recommendations for podcasts to listen to through the Messages app. A connection between Apple Podcasts and Messages is implemented to integrate all the recommendations in one place. In the same way that it happens with Apple News or Apple Music.
• New ways of reproduction: The 1.25x playback speed has been released and they are added to the speeds that were previously available: 0.5x, 1x, 1.5x and 2x.
• Keyboard shortcuts on iPadOS 15: Although they are not available in the final version of iPadOS 15, Apple intends to launch new keyboard shortcuts in Apple Podcasts in version 15.1 of iPadOS. Some of these shortcuts are Command + Right Arrow to jump to the next episode or add the Shift key to the previous combination to jump 30 seconds of the episode.
• Custom recommendations: in the section «Listen now» they are also incorporated Recommendations based on listeners' listening to our favorite podcasts. Among them are two categories: "You may like it" or "If you like ...". Recommendations are based on more than 100 categories and subcategories that creators can configure in their podcast profile.
