La Privacy It is the main concern of large companies today and of all services that offer hosting of personal data. It should also be our concern, since many times we are not aware of the dangers to which we expose our data, but that is another story.
Awareness of privacy issues is growing among all of us, in part because every time we store more data ours in the cloud. Therefore, the alarms go off every time someone says they have discovered a new method to bypass the barriers of services and thus access our privacy.
Once again, the objective of this attack has been iCloud, something that seems to be a trend in recent times. Via GitHub A new tool has been discovered that would use brute force to bypass Apple's system restrictions, cracking the password and thus accessing the information.
This method would simply be based on dictionary words established in the tool, which would be checked successively until the correct one was found. Obviously, this system is very scarce, since if your password is not in the dictionary, it cannot be found. However, many people establish as a security method a word that is known to them and not alphanumeric, which makes it a potential target of this system.
Apparently not something we should worry about, as Apple will fix it soon (in theory), but it again calls into question the security of one of the most used platforms in the world. We sure all remember the mass robbery of nudes of celebrities that took place this summer, something that has made the company's security system question a lot.
