This year, Apple presented a quarterly balance that was the first to report a decline in iPhone sales since 2007, the year of the introduction of the first generation of the apple smartphone. TSMC has not given many details, but did say that it expects a profit growth of between 11-12%, which far exceeds the 5-10% originally planned. Compared to the third quarter, the company achieved a 23% increase to reach total profits of 260.400 billion TWD (about 7.455 million Euros).
These TSMC data are added to those of the operators from the United States, who also they claimed to beat the record sales of the iPhone at its launch. Apple did not give or give sales data for the launch weekend, so it seems that we will have to wait until January to know if a record has been broken or not.
