The latest Telegram update adds an interesting new feature for users of the app. It's about the new section "Exceptions" that allows us to add a series of changes to notifications individually and in group chats.
In addition, a new password hashing algorithm is added, which in theory is supposed to better protect the data of users who have registered in the function Telegram Passport. Logically, in addition to the news about the Exceptions function and the protection of Telegram Passport, the new version 4.9.1 adds minor changes, security improvements and stability to the iOS app.
Where do we adjust the exceptions in the notifications?
To access the configuration of the exceptions in the notifications of Telegram we have to go to the Notifications and Sounds settings. In the foreground we will see the new menu with all our chats and personalized notifications to our liking. Remember that we can even change the default sound of notifications for each of the groups or users, it also allows the group or user to be silenced for 1 hour or 2 days.
Little by little the messaging application made a gap among thousands of users and now taking into account some of the problems they are having due to privacy issues in countries like Russia, the app is still a favorite for messaging users, obviously always below the well-known WhatsApp. Leaving aside the competition, the important thing is that as soon as you can update the app to benefit from this improvement implemented and the corrections released in security and stability.
