Two weeks ago Adobe incorporated DNG format to be used in Lightroom for iOS and, this week, far from being happy with its updates, it incorporated into its application one of the most important novelties (although perhaps the least commented / used) of the photographic possibilities of the new Apple devices , the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus.

Lightroom version 2.5.2 has added to an already impressive list of possibilities since the possibility of capture images in RAW format from the application itself and be able to treat them from it.

With this update, Adobe incorporates the profiles of the sensor and the lens of the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus, thus incorporating the two flagships of Apple in its application. Also, taking photos from the application, Lightroom has been optimized for iPhone 7 hardware, including the dual lens of the iPhone 7 Plus. With this they have improved the color, the lens, the noise profiles in the DNG files of the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus.

The RAW format, like the Adobe DNG format incorporates all the information collected by the sensor from the camera in a process that finally outputs a compressed JPEG format with the best photo parameter settings (automatically). In addition, the RAW format allows you to edit the photo much more in any other format since it includes all the parameters of the photo at the time it was taken.

In addition to the addition of the ability to take photos in RAW format, Lightroom includes the DCI-P3 color gamut that already include iPhone 7 and 7 Plus.

In addition, Lightroom improves the performance of the application and some bugs present in previous versions of it.

You can download the version for iOS at the link below and start taking photos in RAW format with your iPhone 7 and 7 Plus for a better later editing.
