Apple seems to finally have a "full version" for its Apple TV. After an initial version lacking many basic functions such as categories within its application store, it seems that Apple already has a new version of tvOS almost ready which, together with the updates that it has been launching so far, it seems that it already leaves us a more or less complete device. The possibility of creating folders, adding external Bluetooth keyboards, a new multitasking more similar to that of iOS 9 and an application dedicated to podcasts are the most important news of this new update that we show you below in video and images.
Folders
With the arrival of more and more applications for the Apple TV, the main screen was filling with more icons, having to scroll to search for the applications. As has been the case for a long time in iOS, folders seemed more than necessary and they have finally reached Apple TV.
Creating the folders is very simple, but you have to get used to using the trackpad, which is not the same as doing it directly on the device screen. We are also allowed to change the name of the folders in case we don't like the name that we automatically add when creating them.
Podcasts
It was a request from more and more users: to be able to listen to podcasts from our television, and it is finally possible. We will again have a specific application for podcasts on the new Apple TV (It already existed in the previous model) with our subscriptions and with menus very similar to those found in iTunes.
Keyboards and new multitasking
The news is completed with a new multitasking design more similar to that of iOS 9 on the iPhone and iPad, and with the possibility of adding Bluetooth keyboards to write and control our Apple TV through one of the many compatible keyboards on the market.
