A few months ago I told you about iMediaShare an application that allows us to show our images and videos favorites on a SmartTV without the need for an Apple TV. Today we are going to talk about another application that has recently been updated in the App Store: AllCast. The technology Apple AirPlay allows us to show the content of our device on Apple TV and Google Chromecast devices.

But not everyone has or can find a device of this type useful. For all those who do not plan to buy a device of this type, but If you would like to be able to show the content of your device on your home Smart TV, we can make use of the AllCast application, with which we can send our favorite photos, videos and music directly to the TV without the need for these devices. Although if you have it, this application is also useful because it is also compatible with these devices.

In addition to be compatible with most existing Smart TVs currently on the market (LG, Sony, Samsung, Panasonic…), with Apple TV and Chromecast, it is also compatible with Amazon Fire TV, Roku, Xbox 360, Xbox One and WDTV. AllCast also allows us to send content that we have stored on Google +, Instagram, Dropbox and Google Drive to the TV.

As if all this is not enough, too we can send content that we have stored in our multimedia server, like Plex, to our Smart TV if it does not have the corresponding application (although it may seem strange, some do not have this service / application natively). In order to use this application, both the TV and the iPad must be connected to the same Wi-Fi network.

The application is available for download as a completely free but with ads that we can eliminate for 4,99 euros, within the AllCast Premium section, which will allow us to eliminate the reduction of time in video playback and the annoying ads that are displayed at the bottom of the screen.

When we click on the video or image in question, a window will be displayed where the device for which we want to reproduce will be shown the content, we just have to press the selected device and enjoy on the big screen.
