Alpine CDE-140BTi: BBB for your car

B9b13515a5

Perhaps the most purists of car-audio will kill me for my opinions in this post, but I have to say that car-audio to me is like Falete to the half-marathon, something quite unknown. But let's try and see what comes out.

After seeing today a Parrot car radio without a CD drive, in the comments you have proposed multiple options for the car, and I found this one from Alpine quite interesting, since it combines two characteristics that many of us look for: good price and connection with the iPhone.

Because nothing else, but connections have to bore. FullSpeed USB, Parrot Bluetooth and auxiliary input so that we can connect absolutely everythingor, and the price, according to Diego said in the comments of the other thread, is for about 120 euros, although if you find an online store that sells it, comment on it without fail.

Does anyone know if you plug the iphone into the USB that it brings ... is it capable of charging the phone? I say this to be able to use it as a browser with spoken instructions + ipod + battery charge. I do this with the parrot mk9200 and my sony cd for life.

  3.   pepo said

Do you know any online store that sells it at that price? in redcoon it is 210.

It's what I've been looking for, I think Diego wanted to put 210 and put 120 or something like that: S

Well it seems that the car radios are hitting it ...

I have a JVC from 3 or + years ago and it came with a USB port and it can pick up music from an iPod if it is plugged in. JVC great sound quality and apart with magnificent features, of course if you don't want to spend money getting an Aplpine is not bad, or even Kenwood.

The fact is that after buying my 3G I tried to plug it in by USB and only Charge, so that it plays the content of the iPhone, iPod touch or iPhone 3Gs it has to be connected through an AUX port that is a connector like the jack of the headphones.

As you can see, the alpine radio in the post has the jack in the lower right part and there the iPhone would be plugged from the Jack of the same to the radio jack.

For those of you who have a tape radio (which may be) Belkin has released an accessory that is a cassette tape with an audio cable that is plugged into the iPhonde ... through the jack and if you put the tape in the cassette radio play the music

Good, say, that I am the happy owner of one of these radio cds, the sound, it is wonderful, the bluetooth with the iphone works without problems, with a very good sound quality, the USB reader also works without problems, And regarding to connect the iPhone through the USB to listen to the guidance voice, it is not necessary, I have it through the full speed connection and linked by Bluetooth, while I listen to the music stored in it, I use the NAVIGON and the instructions are heard. through the speakers, something I did not expect, the truth, even I have not returned to test if it would be enough with the bluetooth or only the full speed connection, but the fact is that if the indications are heard, I paid 239,95 euros in a FEU VERT store, but as always, things go down in price.
I can only say that if you have an IPHONE, this purchase is ideal, although there are others where you can better see the title, or even the album covers.
Greetings to all, in this, my first comment for the page.

By the way, the full speed connection is not the front jack connector at the bottom left, it is a port that comes out of the back of the device, with a cable of a length I think of a meter and a half, which you take as far as you want, in my case , to the glove compartment and from the glove compartment cable still to take the iphone to the instrument panel, right in front of the steering wheel, a very good place to put it as a gps, the hands-free microphone has a cable to bore, in my case I put it in the oblique upright that goes up to the roof (between windshield and door).

I also have one of these. Alpine has many devices compatible with the iphone, but for the price this is the best.
It sounds great, maximum quality, it charges your iPhone, searching for what you want through the menu is very simple, bluetooth is great, ...
    good friend without a doubt

I recently gave my husband a car radio. Right now there are quite a few with iPod connection. But if you own an iPhone, I think that what cannot be missing in the features is the Bluetooth steaming function. For me this is essential because until now it is the only way (together with the jack connector) that all the sounds of the iPhone are reproduced. Be it music, videos, browser instructions etc. So my husband got a Sony hands-free and Bluetooth streaming which was the best fit for his needs.

I, who did not need to change the radio, have only put on a parrot mk something, which allows me basically the same: jack + Bluetooth streaming. For me a great option. I listen by Bluetooth, if they call me I answer with the hands-free and charge the iPhone with the car cigarette lighter. I did all this after installing 3.0. Now I enjoy my iPhone even more.

For those of you looking for something more economical than € 200, the one I have is the 102BT model, and not the 140BT, which is the one that is advertised. It cost me € 150 in half markt, but I got to see it on the internet for € 120. It has the same characteristics as this one, the truth is that I do not see any difference, and as I have said it is going great.
And yes, you can listen to everything you have on your iPhone (as long as it is connected to the computer), even YouTube and music applications like yes.fm are heard as if they were a CD.

I am looking at this Jvc KD-R801 that supports the music of the iphone and has bluetooth hands-free and it costs about 150 euros online and I have seen it in mediamarket and it is very very good

Hello everyone, I needed to ask you a question and I think this can be a good site. My car is a Renault Laguna with a 6 cd alpine charger in the trunk. The almost is that the cd loader has broken and taking advantage of the occasion this team seems ideal to me, but I would not like to lose the standard steering wheel controls (for my wife more than for me). Well, the question is if anyone knows if the Renault interface is compatible with this team or do I have to change it for another? Thank you all

I bought a new car recently and I was looking at radio cds compatible with the Iphone and of the ones I saw this is undoubtedly the best value for money.

Does anyone know if it is capable (power) of charging the iphone while using some navigation software such as navigon ?. When you listen to the music via bluetooth (ad2p), what is the sound quality? How does the cable? Or does it sizzle a bit depending on the music?

    regards

If you read the comments, you will see that if the iPhone charges, and that the guidance instructions also sound through the speakers, it is a good purchase

I have this and it is perfect, I am very happy, and I bought it at a good price at a store in Zaragoza 170euros with shipping, what the web would not know how to tell you

Well, I have the Alpine CDE-103 BTi and it's scary. One thing, the cable necessary for FULLSPEED goes to part in all these models (101, 102, 103) except in the 104, which has it included. Those who ask if it charges well, if it charges, but if you have Bluetooth connected, you are listening to music from the iPhone and the connected browser, the charge is not enough, I say this from experience. The 103BTi model is the same as the 104, but without the aforementioned Fullspeed cable, which costs € 27 including expenses from redcoon. It cost me € 195 at the mediamarkt. Of course, what I have not gotten to try is calling by voice, I have not been right yet :-))).
All the models discussed here are very good, but one thing, I think some of them do not have the parrot bluetooth incorporated, you have to get the module separately.

I forgot to say that you can hear everything in the car speakers, even the noise of the keyboard when you write a note, message or whatever.

I am interested in the CDE-103 BT but I have a question. does it have the microphone integrated into the cover?
Another thing is that I have neither stages nor stories in the car nor have I thought about putting them on, only the speakers at home (opel astra 2004) could this alpine be connected to what I have without problems?

Another alternative that I have is the sony 3700bt that at least has a remote control and embedded micro.

    what do you think ?????????????

Let's see if I get out of doubt and catch her myself

  22.   manquake said

The CDE-103 BT has the micro with a cable that can be put almost anywhere you want, I have it placed near the visor of the car, with the cable well passed so that it is not seen, I also have it without stages or anything , to dry and it sounds great. For me it has been a good purchase, yes, the full speed cable is sold separately in this model.

I just bought the alpine 104 bti for 229 euros in norauto, and my question is if you have bought the interface that connects the original control of the car to the radio. I have a 2003 astra and I don't know how to buy it and what is it worth? Thank you!!!!

  24.   diegeti said

Hi, I'm new here, I bought the cde-104bet and at the moment it is perfect but I have a problem with the microphone that they do not listen to me when I call and when I receive calls, if someone can help me, greetings and thanks.

  25.   manquake said

I think it may be that you have the mic volume lowered, try raising it. Also check that you have connected on the mobile that you can answer with the hands-free.

  26.   Jesu said

Beware of the full speed cable that alpine uses in the cde-104 bti. ITunes makes you useless so you can't watch videos, change songs or see covers ... and also in the navigon you lose the power to raise and lower the volume of the browser. This model also does not have the possibility of listening to music through bluetooh and also only has one color of the buttons: blue. The cde-103 bt model does incorporate these two functionalities with bluetooth audio and four colors. Tomorrow I change it in the workshop that put it on, I don't know about you, but I don't want an accessory to "get into" things on the iPhone. There is nothing more intuitive than your phone.

I have the same problem with the mic volume of my Alpine 104BTi. When I call, they hear me very low. Does anyone know where to turn up the mic volume? Could it be an Alpine installation problem? IPhone problem?

good!! I have that radio, and an iPhone 5, but the cable it brings to connect the iPhone to the radio is no longer valid because the iPhone's have changed the connection. Is there an adapter or other cable?
