Apple's green policy reaches its suppliers, 110 partners use 100% renewable energy

We like technology, but we also have to see the other side of technology, a part that undoubtedly affects us negatively. And it is that the consumption of technology generates a large number of environmental problems due to the components themselves, or the energy that is used to create technology, worth the redundancy. As you can see in the image above, Apple has been interested in green energy for quite some time, Apple Park uses entirely green energy and from Cupertino they want their suppliers to also join their green policy. Apple just announced that 110 suppliers are already using green energy in their facilities. Keep reading that we give you all the details of this important news.

They already announced it in 2018, all of Apple's own operations would become carbon neutral, and the company's interest was to extend this to its entire supply chain by 2030. Today they announce a change in their Suppliers, that of the use of green energy. A commitment of these that leads them to generate 8 gigawatts of clean energy, which will avoid generating 15 million metric tons of CO2 per year. A great advance, not definitive, that undoubtedly shows us how Apple continues on its green path with the goal of the year 2030.

And the change in providers is not just news. Apple has also announced the status of its investment in America's largest (green) battery farm.. A farm that will be powered by different sources of renewable energy, and that will have a 240 megawatt-hour capacity, which is the same as 7000 homes during a day. We will see the impact of these policies in the next releases, they will surely surprise us with something new in the next Keynote at the start of WWDC 2021.
