A long time ago when I created my current account Twitter, one of the accounts I looked for to follow was that of Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC),. At that time, those from Cupertino were not as present in social networks as they are now and there was a Twitter account of those that only have a username and the avatar of the egg, which could only mean that Apple itself had caught it or that someone had searched her for something.
From the looks of it, it was Apple who had registered the account @Apple on Twitter and today, 5 days before event in which they will present the iPhone 7 and Apple Watch 2, Mark Gurman has been one of the first to announce that Tim Cook and company have decided to open their official Twitter account. At the time of this writing, the account had yet to tweet, but it is verified and already far exceeds 100.000 followers.
Apple already has an official Twitter account
Taking into account that the company founded by the two Steves leaves nothing to chance, the header photo they have used and the dates we are in, it seems clear that the first tweets of this account will be published next Wednesday, moments before the event scheduled for September 7. Although the keynote will be broadcast live, that they also publish what is happening on Twitter is good news, since there is a possibility that we will lose the signal at some point.
This is not the first Twitter account opened by those from Cupertino, far from it. They have already opened several of Apple Music, the one from Apple News, they have one from iTunes, from the App Store and I'm sure I will leave several more. The difference is that this is the most general of all and it seems compulsory follow-up for all users who have a device on the block.
