Apple allows you to pay in iTunes with our operator

There are many users who do not have a credit card or do not want to provide their information to make purchases in the application stores. Apparently Apple is aware of this and wants to facilitate iTunes and App Store purchases to these users and, for this, will add a new form of payment through our telephone operator, something that until now is only possible with a credit / debit card or with an iTunes gift card.

The first to be able to make use of this new form of payment will be the clients of the German O2 operator, who can already link their Apple ID with their phone number and all their purchases will be reflected in the invoice that their operator will send them each month.

With this new form of payment, users will be able to buy exactly the same that they can buy with a card Credit, which includes iTunes apps, songs, movies, books, and other content. Unlike the credit card and as we said before, they will only receive the invoice from the operator with the total amount. The problem is that, unless they provide more information in the future, we will not know what charge corresponds to each purchase made and checking an invoice 30 days later can be a bit confusing.

On the other hand, it is always safer to make purchases with a credit card since, in case of fraud, the bank can take charge of the defrauded amount, while the operators are more likely to turn a blind eye or look the other way .

Apple is now working to allow customers to Telefónica Germany y Bango make use of this new form of payment and will also negotiate with other operators in the future. If we take into account that Wi-Fi calls are not yet supported in our country, we may think that we will not be able to pay with our operator for quite some time, not to change.
