Just 24 hours after the release of the first public version of iOS 18 and macOS 15, Apple has released New Betas of the next update that will arrive around the month of October and will incorporate some of the first Apple Intelligence features for iPhone, iPad and Mac.
This year's updates have a big protagonist: Apple Intelligence. However, surprisingly, the first version of these updates arrives without this star feature to which they dedicated a large part of the presentation of the new systems for iPhone, iPad and Mac. We will have to wait until iOS 18.1 to see the first functions of Apple Intelligence on our iPhone, iPad and Mac. And that will be in the United States and in English, because the arrival to other countries is not expected until the end of the year at the earliest. Its arrival in Europe is expected to take place well into 2025., once Apple's problems with the new Digital Markets Act (DMA) have been resolved. These versions with Apple Intelligence are already available in the Beta phase, which began at the end of July, and today the fourth Betas arrive for all devices, except for the Apple Watch, which is the first Beta of watchOS 11.1.
Among the new features that can be tested in this version 18.1 is The new, smarter Siri, which lets you speak in a much more natural language, following the conversation without having to call it up again, and with a new interface that abandons the classic colored ball for a colored frame around the entire iPhone screen. We also have new tools for the Photos application, such as one that allows you to remove unwanted people and objects from your photos with a simple tap on the screen. It also has new writing tools that allow you to request that the text you have written be corrected grammatically, even give it a more formal appearance or the opposite. As we say, all this is only available at the moment in English and for the United States.
