Apple has reached an agreement with Sony to bring the book Dark Matter to Apple TV + in serial format, according to the media Collider. This book, written by Blake Crouch is also behind Wayward Pines, book that became a series 2 seasons in 2016.

Dark Material tells the story of Jason Dessen, a family man who works as a professor at the university. One night, while walking on his way home, he is kidnapped by a stranger who drugs him. When he gets up, he checks how He finds himself in a completely different world than the one he knew.

Sony, who bought the book rights to the book for $ 1,25 million in 2014 before it was written, will be in charge of the production of this new series. One of the producers will be Matt Tolmach, the same producer of the movie Venom.

Dark Matter was a best seller that was translated into 35 languages ​​and was selected as one of the best books by Amazon and National Public Radio (NPR) in 2016. In that same year, Ronald Emerich contemplated making a movie based on the book, as reported by Deadline.

For the moment still it's too early to know who the actors will be that will be part of the cast of this new series, but it will be a matter of weeks before we have doubts.
