Apple confirms that it uses Google's cloud storage services

In recent years, Apple has put in place a plan to start having its own storage servers for stop depending on third parties. It currently has several open data centers both in China and in Europe and the United States, but they are not the only ones, since the company's plans are to continue opening new server farms.

But while it has its own network of servers, the Cupertino-based company you have to continue hiring an external storage service to be able to accommodate all the functions it offers, not just the data that users store in iCloud. Amazon has always been one of its main providers, like Microsoft but it is not the only one since it is also using Google's cloud service.

Google has never been characterized, like Facebook, for being an example of privacy, but that does not mean at any time that the data hosted by third-party companies are not properly protected and that the company based in Mountain View does not have access to them at any time, so the concern that some users have expressed does not it makes no sense, beyond the anecdotal.

Apple updated its iOS security guide last month, reflecting a change which has been released a few hours ago as CNBC journalist Jordan Novet has been able to verify and where we can read:

The information in the files is stored without any user identification, using third-party services such as S3 (Amazon) and Google Cloud Platform.

In previous versions of this security guide, Apple had already mentioned the Microsoft Azure cloud storage service, but so far no mention had been made of the Google platform. Apple continues to use the Amazon S3 platform primarily and until all the data centers you plan to open accommodate all your needs.

But this news was already known, although now there is confirmation from Apple. The truth is that the services offered by Google in the cloud are very good and I think it's good that Apple does this.
