Apple could ditch 32-bit technology with iOS 9

The next version of Apple's operating system is starting to ring out loud in Apple developer circles. The news that now jumps onto the scene is iOS 9 could mean that Apple designs an operating system that exclude devices running 32-bit technology, as are the iPhone 5 and 5C models.

This change that may be developing to build the guts of iOS 9 would mean a considerable improvement in the performance of the operating system, since a 64-bit system in which there was no need to add 32-bit support would bring with it an increase in stability, speed and reliability of it. The risk is that maybe it's too soon to keep devices with so many users out of a new version of iOS. These devices work with A6 and lower chips, whose 32-bit technology would make them incompatible with Apple's new system.

With this future update, the next new version of iOS would be restricted to the iPad mini 2, iPad Air 1 and 2, iPhone 5S, iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus models. It would leave out very current models, with a large user audience, hence the risk of considering leaving out 32-bit devices. iPad 2, iPad Mini or the extended iPhone 5 and 5C would be excluded from those enabled to enjoy the new iOS 9.

The chips in these "allowed" devices are based on a 64-bit architecture, offering higher performance and addressing support for more than four gigabytes of RAM. The processors currently used by Apple for iPhone 6 and the rest of the devices that could enjoy iOS9 have an architecture based on Cyclone and it is expected that the future chips that they will use in Cupertino achieve a performance that is almost double than the current ones.

What are they about? Each device has always gone through 4 versions of iOS. The 3GS started in iOS 3 and ended in 6. The 4 started in the 4 and ended in the 7. The 4S in the 5 and ended in the 8… And now the 5 / 5C only go through 3 versions of iOS? despite being capable enough? Anyway, iOS 9 with this will be the death of the iPhone 5. No matter how you look at it, it is seen that Apple has caught that model dislike ... Even if it removes the update it will manage to make a phone with 1Gb of ram the later models, a GPU capable enough to carry out all the blur and parallax effects, and with a CPU enough to open Apps in less than a second… On an iPhone 4 with iOS 7! Idiot that I have been to buy the iPad that I have now. Very idiot.

Apple makes any move described here and I get rid of its ecosystem in 0,0000000000000000000000000000000000000000000001 femtoseconds.

By the way, they always go unnoticed ... But the iPod touch 5g and the iPad 3 and 4 more of the same. So sad…

The truth is that this news, what surprises me, is that it took so long to come out. If a few months ago developers were advised that the apps had to be 64-bit as of this February, I did not expect anything else.
When the 16-bit Megadrive came out, who was going to develop games for the 8-bit anymore? It is a leap in technology, which equates to the 64 bits of desktop imac and it is sure that the tools between iOS and OSX will be even more compatible.
I still continue with the iPhone 4 (5 years that it will be), and I do not need iOS8 at all, that they take out all the iOS they want while it works for me (bloody crisis).
What I have done in October is to get the "cheapest" A7 (64-bit) on the market, the iPad mini 2 32GB (With 16GB we're not going anywhere either) (Late 2013 model).
What iPad have you bought partner?
