Following the acquisition of Turi by the Cupertino-based company, Apple now plans to empower the team working on it to focus on integrating this company's technology into new Apple products and others already on the market, according to reports the prestigious portal 9to5Mac.

Tim Cook's company confirmed the purchase of Turi with its usual statement that they use for it, but did not offer any more details about it. With the passing of the days, however, part of the plans that Apple has reserved for this company has begun to be known. He plans to expand the team working at Turi by hiring developers and data analysts for a new Apple division. It will be based in Seattle, where Turi was already located, and will be dedicated to machine learning, a branch of artificial intelligence.

This new Apple department will work with the company's product teams to prototype new features and enhancements, which could be built into existing Apple devices or upcoming products or applications. Before Turi was acquired by Apple, the platform offered a wide variety of uses for software developers to implement machine learning technology, including recommendation engines, fraud detection, customer and target audience analytics, and more. In addition, Apple offers various jobs related to this new division on its website.

After learning about the acquisition of Turi by Apple, it was also learned that the Manzanita company would be looking to expand its presence in Seattle and that its sights were set on the purchase of an office complex with capacity for about 2.300 employees. This would be a considerable growth in the area with respect to the volume of employees that Apple maintains there.

Apple already uses machine learning in many of its products (Siri, Apple Pencil, iPad Pro or iOS 10) that from now on will benefit from having this equipment exclusively.
