Apple devalues the devices covered by the Apple Trade In program

Are you planning to get a new apple device Coming soon? You know what Apple buys the old devices? They call it the Apple Trade In program, a program with which they give us some money for our old devices in order to recycle them efficiently so that we can take advantage of that money to get a new one. But not everything is good ... and it is that Apple seems to have adapted its prices to the new market by lowering all purchase prices. After the jump we give you more detail about these changes in the Apple Trade In.

It has been published by the guys from Macrumors: Apple has lowered the purchase price, or exchange, of an old device for a new one. And it seems that the change has been worldwide, although we cannot confirm prices in Spain. In the United States the change has been small in some devices or up to almost $ 100 different from what they paid us for an old device and what they pay us now. Below you can see the list of all the devices that enter the Apple Trade In program (old prices in parentheses),

New old iPhone purchase prices:

  • ‌Apple Watch‌ Series 3 –– up to $70 ($ 70)
  • Apple Watch Series 2 –– up to $60 ($ 60)
  • ‌Apple Watch‌ Series 1 –– up to $30 ($ 30)

So now you know, if you want to change your old device for a new one directly through an Apple Store, now they will pay you a little less in any of these devices. The change in the prices published by Macrumors is not very significant either, but it is true that in the end it is one more reason to decide to sell our old device through another sales channel that pays us more. Of course, if you do not want problems and want to do everything at the same point of sale, the Apple Store, even if they pay us less, is an option to take into account.
