Apple disables payments through Apple Pay on pages promoting white supremacy and racism

Apple has joined the different companies that are showing their rejection of hate groups and those who defend white supremacy, an ideology that affirms that the white race is superior to other races by promoting the political and social dominance of the white people. As reported by BuzzFeed, Apple has disabled the technology of payments via web Apple Pay to a large number of websites that offer products related to these hate groups.

The web pages that have seen how Apple Pay has stopped working are dedicated to selling products such as t-shirts with the symbol of Nazism, or with the text "White Pride", as well as bumper jackets showing the drawing of a car running over a crowd, as happened a few days ago in Charlottesville, Virginia, causing three deaths and more than a dozen injuries of varying degrees.

According to analysts, lThe election of Donald Trump has been the trigger to revitalize these activist groups in the United States among which the neo-Nazi groups, the Ku Klux Klan and the Alt-right stand out. Tim Cook has posted a series of messages on Twitter claiming that white supremacy and racist violence are a moral problem, a problem that all Americans have to grapple with. In another tweet, Tim Cook condemns the scenes of violence that have been seen in Charlosttesville a week ago, stating that violence and racism have no place in America.

PayPal has also made a similar move by ceasing to offer its services on these websites and stating that it is working to block its services on websites where money is accepted or funds are raised to promote hatred, violence and intolerance. PayPal claims to have blocked a large number of such websites in the last six months.
