Apple is highlighting that many developers are fully grateful with the App Store Small Business Program or its commission reduction from the App Store up to 15% to those whose income was less than 1 million dollars as we already told you in this article.
On November 18, Apple announced its reduction in the commission of the App Store, known as the App Store Small Business Program, which reduced the amount of money obtained from transactions in the App Store, including in-app purchases as well as subscriptions that are managed from within the App itself. Under this program, which starts next January 1, 2021, developers will only have to pay a 15% commission instead of 30 as it was so far stipulated.
The first year of subscriptions in the apps will also have this 50% discount in the commission for those developers who are within the program. Once these exceed one million dollars, the program will stop applying for them and they will return to the standard commission of 30%.
