Those of us who use Face ID on a daily basis know that it has a cumbersome problem when it fails, and that is that it tries again and the time it takes to finally allow the unlocking by code takes forever. It really makes for an ordeal every time Face ID fails. This problem has been solved in the first beta version of iOS 12, and it is that now access to the unlock code is much faster and allows us to invoke it with just one gesture.
The real fear of using Face ID is finally going to end When we are in a notorious rush to use our iPhone X, however, other news at the level of identification with the Face ID that users demand still do not arrive.
When we use the iPhone with the first beta of iOS 12 it will now quickly show us the unlock code once it has erred in the identification, but this is not the best. If we make the gesture of swiping from the bottom up, the system will quickly retry a new scan using Face ID, or else, we can press «Cancel» to return directly to the lock screen.
In this way, It will take us the same time to fail or not fail the facial scanner that includes our iPhone X. Personally, it was one of the aspects that I disliked the most about using Face ID, especially in those moments when we are lying down and want to use the phone vertically, the horizontal scanning system is still not active in these first test versions for iOS 12 and nothing predicts that it will arrive soon ... why Apple? We are still waiting to see how Apple improves iOS 12 in relation to Face ID, since with other improvements such as Portrait mode we have found obvious improvements.
When does iOS 12 come out?
When always, September.
I liked the change. Not having to lock and unlock the phone for a next face id attempt ... I find it much more convenient to swipe up.
