On May 17, the International Day Against Homophobia, Transphobia and Biphobia was celebrated. Taking advantage of the occasion, as Apple has been doing the last years, Special Pride Edition straps and faces have been introduced for the Apple Watch. This action is yet another push by a large company like Apple to try to support the LGBT community. This year the Pride Edition has two new straps and a new dial for the clock. As a novelty, we highlight that this 2022 two straps have been introduced instead of one and one of them from the Nike edition.

These are the new Pride Edition straps for the Apple Watch

A week later than usual Apple has introduced its Apple Watch bands under the 2022 Pride Edition. We say late because the Big Apple usually launches these campaigns on key days. On this occasion, May 17 is the International Day Against Homophobia, Transphobia and Biphobia and this date used to be used for the announcement. However, until a few minutes ago we had no information about this year's special straps and dials.

But finally they are with us. Apple has decided to launch two straps instead of one as we are used to under the Pride Edition. The primera of them is the Sport Loop Strap, with a price of 49 euros, has a gradient that combines the Pride flag with five new colors:

On the one hand, brown and black represent LGBTQ+ people of color who have been discriminated against, as well as those who are living or have lived with HIV and AIDS. And, on the other, the light blue, pink and white pay tribute to both trans people and those who do not identify with any gender.

On the other hand, we have like novelty new Nike Sport Loop with a nylon fabric inspired by BeTrue, a Nike initiative in favor of equality in the world of sport. To wear the matching straps of this Pride Edition Apple has also launched its new face to commemorate the day. This strap is priced at 49 euros as well.

these straps are now available in the Apple Store Online but not yet in physical stores. In physical stores we can buy them from May 26, this Thursday.
