Apple invites some developers to an online session on accessibility

WWDC 2020 Online

Apple, like Google and Microsoft, canceled the developer event they hold every year several weeks ago, in order to contribute to curb the spread of the coronavirus. While both Apple and Microsoft urged an online event, like Google initially, the latter has decided that will not hold online event either.

The WWDC was scheduled for June of this year (like every year), but it seems that Apple has already got to work and has begun to send emails to some developers inviting them to an online session where support will be offered on how this community can take advantage of the accessibility features that iOS offers on their devices.

This online event will take place on April 23, it will be an online session where developers will have the opportunity to ask questions both publicly and individually. This is the first time that Apple has created an online consultation session between Apple developers and engineers, sessions that usually take place in the days after the WWDC launch day.

Apple probably wants test operation of new system to correct any organizational or operational problems you may have before preparing all content for this year's virtual WWDC. Being the first test that Apple makes in this regard, we do not know if the content of this event will end up being available in the Apple Developer application, previously called WWDC.

We also do not know if Apple's intention is to concentrate all WWDC sessions in the same week, or it plans to space them in time, this being the first of them, although until the first beta of iOS 14 is released, little or practically nothing developers can do to take advantage of the new functions that Apple has included in iOS 14.
