Apple is always very conservative in its delivery dates, and usually always gives more distant dates than what happens in reality. Managing millions of orders in just a few minutes should not be easy at all, and it is always better to give more distant dates than to have to delay orders because you cannot meet your estimates.

According to Tim Cook, the sales figures for the iPhone X are exceeding all the company's estimates, and the demand is much higher than the supply. In fact, we can already see iPhone X models for sale on sale and purchase portals for several thousand euros, a real madness. Just 24 hours after the start of the reservations, the delivery dates are already for 5-6 weeks, so if anyone wants their iPhone before Christmas, they should not be too distracted.
