Apple is working on new features for podcasts

For some time now, podcasts, like the on-demand content of different streaming music and video services, are becoming a more than real alternative for many users. The possibility of being able to enjoy your favorite content whenever and wherever you want without having to suffer from advertisements or strict broadcast schedules it is endangering the traditional TV and radio model as we know it so far. Unlike music and video streaming services, podcasts are completely free and you don't need to pay any kind of subscription to be able to enjoy the topics that interest you the most.

Everyone who starts with a podcast, he does it out of devotion not for the money that you can get through the advertising you can get from third parties, something really difficult to achieve in these times. A few months ago Eddy Cue, the head of content at iTunes, stated that they wanted to improve the operation of podcasts, adapting to the needs of the main content providers.

Eddy Cue has offered an interview in the framework of Code Media in which he affirms that they are studying all the possibilities that podcasters have brought him among which the possibility of adding a subscription system to be able to enjoy the content would be included. Currently Apple has abandoned this section since it does not obtain any type of income, although it costs money to maintain the servers where they store all the podcasts.

One of the possibilities that Apple is also studying is add advertising to recordings, just like YouTube does to videos. This could be the best way for content creators to make the most of the time they invest in them, because let's face it, I very much doubt that users who listen to podcasts are willing to pay to be able to enjoy your favorite podcast, a podcast whose frequency it is weekly and that only usually serves to contrast opinions with the protagonists.
