Apple launches first public beta of iOS 9.2

ios-9-2

We did not expect it, but a few minutes ago Apple launched the first public beta of iOS 9.2. The launch has been just a week after the first beta for developers and it is a bit strange for the fact that it coincides with the first beta for developers in terms of number of it, but it is likely that the week of difference has been used to polish the version of the developers developers a bit to prepare it so that it has enough stability to release the public version. Of course, the launch occurred on Thursday, the day of the week on which the latest iOS 9.0 betas were released.

The update should appear via OTA to beta testers of the public version who have the Apple beta profile installed. It is worth remembering that in order to install any version of iOS you must have at least 50% battery on the iPhone, iPod or iPad or have it connected to a power outlet.

iOS 9.2 will be a version that focus on improving performance general system, although other improvements are also included such as important changes in the Safari view controller, which helps us to use Safari from other applications, as Tweetbot does. This is positive because we can, for example, use Safari's reading view to read Twitter links.

In addition, as our colleague Luis Padilla points out, there will be what's new in the Music app that will allow us to have a better knowledge of the status of some downloads, such as the possibility of downloading some Apple Music lists. So far, knowing whether or not we can download some lists is more complicated. Anything that makes things easier, of course, will always be welcome.

It will still be another unpredictable beta: it won't be as smooth as iOS 6 or iOS7, it will be slower than iOS 8, and older devices like iPHone 4S and iPad 2 AND 3 will still be slower.
That is, I expect another beta of iOS 9 just as unsuccessful as the previous ones.

And are there still people who use such old devices? I tested it and it runs wonderfully super fast, it has a better autonomy

Well yes, there are still people who do not have the need to be dragged by the latest news when they have a device that works perfectly and nothing to envy the new ones. But Apple should not say that the new iOS will improve the functionality of the previous models when (for now, and surely always) it is a lie. What is the problem in recognizing that it is not worth updating? You get lost, that is the great improvement that having the middle finger emoji supposes, too bad!

I have tested it on my iPhone 6 and it works perfectly, I have noticed that the multitask is much smoother and faster, and there is no lag so far.

Spectacular! After 3 days I have noticed a noticeable improvement in battery performance. I've been in use for 6h 45 min and 28h 7 min on standby. I think it is a remarkable change. In addition to stability and fluidity.
