After announcing it this morning, Apple this afternoon launches iOS 11.3 Beta 1, the first version intended for developers of the update that will reach all users this spring according to the company itself has assured in its press release. This update will bring the solution to the battery controversy, with a button that will allow you to deactivate that the performance of your iPhone varies depending on the health of your battery, but it also brings other news.

The update will be available to those users with a developer account, and it is expected that in the coming days it will also reach users who participate in the Public Beta program (free) that Apple has offered for a few years. We tell you all the changes that this first Beta of iOS 11.3 includes.

New Animoji and Business Chats

Apple continues to bet on the Animoji, and for this it has included new characters that will increase the small catalog that we had until now. A dragon, a bear, a skull and a lion increase the list of characters to a total of 16, with which we can send funny animations using the messages application and only from our iPhone X, without being compatible with other previous models. The Messages application also includes another new feature, "Business Chat", a functionality very similar to the one WhatsApp is launching around the world and with which we can dialogue with companies through messages to receive technical assistance or any other query.

Health Records

Health records will also allow users to have relevant data from their medical history saved on their iPhone. For this, it will be essential that your health company is compatible with this program, which at the moment only happens in the United States, but it is an initial and absolutely necessary step that we hope soon other countries and health services will want to include within their benefits, since it would greatly facilitate the work of health professionals when caring for patients outside their usual center or even abroad .

Augmented reality

Augmented reality takes on new features with ARKit 1.5 as it can now work with posters and artwork to bring you new interactive experiences. Until now HomeKit only worked with horizontal surfaces, but now it can also recognize posters, signs and works of art, in addition to improving the recognition of irregular surfaces such as circular tables. They have also increased the resolution and made it compatible with autofocus.

Battery management

One of the most anticipated novelties is battery management. iOS 11.3 will incorporate information about the status of the battery and will tell you if it is necessary to replace it. In addition, it will offer us the possibility of controlling the battery management feature, which is what Apple has called the automatic system that decreases the performance of the processor to take care of your battery in the event that it is not in good health. Now it will be the user who will decide whether or not to activate this function, which will be available on the iPhone 6 and later, including the iPhone SE, and up to the 7 and 7 Plus.Not so in the new models (8, 8 Plus and X).
